Apex Addition and Kitchen
Case Study

These homeowners loved their home and neighborhood in The Green at Scott’s Mill but had outgrown the way their kitchen had functioned. The existing space felt dated, with older cabinetry and countertops, and limited room for everyday living. They wanted a kitchen with better organization, and finishes that would create a consistent feel throughout the home. The project also included adding the laundry room to the kitchen space and updating the primary bathroom to tie the all rooms together.
The remodel focused on creating a brighter, neutral colorway and updated finishes. White shaker cabinetry was installed throughout the kitchen. As part of the kitchen remodel, the laundry room was relocated and designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding cabinetry. white shaker cabinetry conceals the washer and dryer, while upper glass cabinets offer a place to display dinnerware and decorative accents. The primary bathroom was also refreshed with matching cabinetry and a marble countertop with warm brown veining, extending the same design palette throughout the home.
Today, the kitchen provides the space and storage the homeowners had been missing, making everyday cooking and gathering more comfortable. The added organization in the laundry room keeps daily tasks out of sight without sacrificing accessibility, and the coordinated finishes throughout the kitchen, laundry room, and primary bathroom create a cohesive look from one space to the next. Together, these updates gave the home a fresh, timeless character while improving how each room is used every day.
